Stephanie Lewis, director of the film, loses her husband to cancer and ends up unearthing an environmental disaster in his hometown as the probable cause. During her 5-year investigation culminating in the film, she interviews eleven former and current citizens, a former journalist, and a hydrogeologist, to reconstruct the story about an unincorporated town in Southwest Tulsa involving a Superfund site and the class action lawsuit filed by the citizens.
